It is very important that the Safety Instrument Systems(SIS)in preventing and reducing oil chemical factory or device process risk. It is directly affects the safe operation of the equipment that the SIS system designed reasonable or not. According to the detail identification of hazardous chemicals major hazard installations and the complete device node hazard and probability analysis which the main production process of an annual output of chloroacetic acid 50000t project, the paper have confirmed the Safety Integrity Level(SIL) of the liquid chlorine storage and vaporization device, analyzed and carried out the major control parameters. It have been designed the SIS system of the device and the complete interlock and control, and put into production operation. The SIS system have been running well in the actual production and ensuring safe production of the production device which represents the SIS system’s reliability, security and the characteristics in the production of the chloroacetic acid project.

SCADA system is an automation system based on computer technology,which is used for control operation in China-Myanmar gas pipeline. The overview of China-Myanmar gas pipeline,the structure of the SCADA system components, configuration and control mode is introduced in this paper.The paper also introduces the running applications of the SCADA system, including the routine use and abnormal operating conditions,such as leakage, pipeline obstruction,communication outage, abnormal gas supply. Application results show that the SCADA system with high practical value can monitor and control pileline well, and improve production management level effectively and efficiently.

A set of electric-heated water bath temperature control system based on PLC and touch screen is designed. A Siemens S7-200 PLC is used as controller and A Smart 1000 touch panel is used as human machine interaction (HMI). Digit PID control algorithm is used, which has the auto-tuning ability and can be called by touch screen. Application shows the system has friendly interface and it is easy to operate. The auto-tuning control result turns to be good, which has a high degree of accuracy and can satisfy the temperature control need of water bath for chemical process experiments.

Drum level control is the most important control loop in power plant. Drum level can be detected by differential pressure level transmitter, electric contact level meter, and some other detection technology which is suitable for this condition. The safety and of 4 classic solenoid valve configurations, namely 1oo1, 1oo2, 2oo2 and hybrid solenoid, were studied in order to evaluate the feasibility in application. The logical structure and failure modes of each configuration were discussed and analyzed. Taking advantage of Markov based reliability model, the Average Probability of Failure on Demand (PFDavg) and Mean Time To Failure Spurious (MTTFs) of these configurations were studied and compared in this paper. By carefully comparison and analysis, the characteristics and applicability of each configuration were discussed. It shows that 1oo2 solenoid valve can provide best safety performance and worst anti-spurious trip capability, while hybrid solenoids can provide both low nuisance trip and acceptable safety performance. The recommended applications of these structures were also discussed in this paper which is benefit for the selection of configuration emergency valves.

Abstract: In 300,000 t/a Polypropylene (PP) device of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, all kinds of PP’s products are made from double-ring-canal reactor. In the reactor, what PP’s product can be made is depended on the content of hydrogen. Now, the content of hydrogen is detected by chromatographic analyzer, and double-ring-canal reactor uses the same analyzer. It causes the obtainable data is delayed and higher price PP’s products cannot be made due to controlling inaccurately. Two programs are designed in order to solve this problem. One is the program of single circuit; the other is the program of double circuits. Through the comparison of the two programs, in the first solution of single circuit,both of the chromatographic analyzers work well. It is better than the program of double circuits, when one of the chromatographic analyzers goes wrong. Therefore, the first solution of single circuit is carried out and has demonstrated its effectiveness.
