To improve the economic benefits of petrochemical corporations, more and more advanced process control systems are introduced to realize the accurate control for product quality and operation optimization. It is especially important for these systems to obtain the product quality information fast, accurately and reliably by online analyzers. The principle and technical advantages of Raman spectral analyzers are presented in this paper. For a domestic online Raman analyzer, the system configuration and its application in a gasoline blending process are discussed. Application results show that Raman spectral analysis technology can be widely applied in petrochemical, synthestic pharmaceutical and other industries, especially for the online compositional analysis of liquid mixtures, because of its rapidity and high accuracy as well as simple maintenance.

Based on China petroleum strategy reserve and the development trend of large-scale storage tank, the necessity of avoiding tank incident was raised. The domestic scholar carried out the research on referring foreign standard to improve China standard, and Russia standard of high latitude permafrost regions Pipeline. The paper deeply studied the advanced idea of Russia tank operation technology standard, including tank safety mark and process operation card and level meter redundancy design and valve maintenance period and cleaning requirement on cold condition and safety requirement of tank oil product sampling operation and tank product water and rain water independent discharge and tank air concentration inspection position and inspection frequency. Finally, the suggestion of referring Russia tank operation standard to improve China standard was made.

PDMS (Plant Design Management System) is a database platform for three-dimensional (3D) collaborative design. With more and more extensive application of PDMS in petrochemical industry nowadays, the demand for collaborative design has increased. And the increased demand brings forward higher requirements for the instrumentation 3D design. The features, system structure, basic functions and the application in some petrochemical project of PDMS were introduced in this paper. The application prospect and superiority of PDMS using in petrochemical instrumentation design was also analyzed. Some problems were stated about traditional design model. Based on the practice of some petrochemical project, the paper has got a conclusion that using 3D design could improve work efficiency of petrochemical instrumentation design. Some re-development suggestions were submitted linking with the characteristics of instrumentation design.

Abstract:Automated control system structure and functions used for oil tank farm in petrochemical plant are described through discussing some tank farm special issues and design methods. As inventory count and information management are special in tank farm, suitable instruments and tank data management unit should be take into account for inventory calculating and developing tank farm process control and management for refinery. The communication signals connection schemes for tank level instruments and motor operated valves are special introduced and the detail examples of instruments wiring are provided. It is also introduced that whole structure layout, functions and related signals for tank farm manufacturing execution system(TMES). TMES’s basic hardware, software and functions are summarized. The design concept in tank farm automated control system and TMES engineering design should be reasonable equipped, functions completed, system structure level clear, and considered for control and management.

In this paper, a design for two-freedom controllers was proposed to handle volume objects in process industry. By using the IMC controller in the secondary loop, the quadric disturbance can be eliminated effectively and rapidly. Minimum sensitivity was used as the design criteria in the primary loop and the turning parameters of the primary controller can be obtained by H_∞ optimal control theory. It (The two-freedom controllers) can be simplified into the standard cascade control structure. The turning method proposed in this paper was embedded into the Global Script of WinCC, which is applied to “THJFCS-1 fieldbus system experimental device” to control the level of two-tank process by using S7-300 PLC. The experiment results showed faster response speed, smaller overshoot and better set point tracking performance can be obtained by using this algorithm.

The reduction of pollutant emissions and coal consumption are so significant for today's power plants to protect the environment and save energy. For today's high pollution and high coal consumption status quo, the hybrid model of power plant boiler is proposed, the model based on BP and ANFIS. According to the requirements of environmental coordinated with energy saving, coal consumption and NOx emissions as the goal of a multi-objective optimization problem is presented. To optimize the test conditions use genetic algorithm (GA) based on this model and the optimization goal. The data of the simulation experiment is acquired from the boiler operation of a power plant, results show that the optimal operation parameters is obtained by optimization algorithm, and can also meet the requirements of lower coal consumption and reduce pollutants emissions so as to realize the optimization targets of the power plant energy conservation and emissions reduction.

The main custody products of FLNG, the new development engineering facility for deep and pelagic offshore gas fields, include LNG,LPG and natural gas condensate. As the loading port, FLNG trades with LNG carriers, LPG carriers and shuttle tankers. Custody transfer measurement system(CTMS) shall be arranged on FLNG for such products respectively. Normally, LNG carrier is used as the main system for CTMS , FLNG would be treated as a terminal and it figures would be used as a check of the LNG tanker figures. The research shows that: the static radar gauging CTMS is the main way for LNG by far, and flowmeter is still in research and trial . Only mass flowmeter and ultrasonic flowmeter is used as check meter in industry. Both static measurement and flow meters are used as CTMS for LPG and condensate, flow meters including ultrasonic and mass has higher accuracy comparing to the radar gauge.
