Tanks fire and explosion accidents will cause serious economic losses, casualties and environmental pollution. It is of great significance to ensure the safety of petroleum strategic storage. With the increasing scale of China oil depot construction, the fire-fighting system and safety system of storage tank should adopt higher design standard grade requirement. In order to eliminate the tank accident and realize the essential safety of the storage tank, the key technical problems of the fire-fighting system and safety system of the storage tank were selected, that is, the supply intensity of fire water, the cooling of the storage tank, and the fire dike (separating dike), the power source of the fire pump, control valve position, accident drainage system and penetrant prevention. The paper introduced the advanced experiences and recommended practices of foreign standard, such as setting separating dike for a single storage tank with 1 × 104 m3 or more, fire dike can withstand the impact of oil leakage, the ready fire pump driven by diesel engine, the tank control valve installed outside the fire dike, design of independent storage tank rain water and oil sewage drainage system. Finally, the improvement suggestions of GB 50074-2014 were put forward, which are of guiding significance for improving the safety, reliability and emergency support ability of oil depots in China.

The selection of the caliber of the control valve is very important. It directly affects the normal operation of the process production and the quality of the control. According to the ISA specification, this paper describes of selection principle of valve caliber and the calculation process of flow coefficient. Then the influencing factors of flow coefficient are obtained under different conditions. In the light of the calculation process, the notices of filling out the control valve datasheet (IPD) in the digital integrated design system are expounded. Finally, the calculation principle is verified by the example of the type selection of the control valve in the specific project.

Fieldbus system adopts two-way digital communication between the field measurement and control equipments. The International Electrical Commission lays down a set of buses, the foundation fieldbus (FF) is the mainstream one. The communication distance of FF can reach 1900m without using field bus repeater. Fieldbus system can use bus power supply and support the intrinsically safe explosion-proof environment.This paper is based on the Foundation Fieldbus System Engineering Guide and analyses the technical characteristics, system configuration, network topology, network risk management of FF fieldbus. Combined with a project in the removal of hydrogen sulfide tower process, this paper makes a concrete analysis of the FF instrument selection and the equipment requirements, design the rational distribution network and calculate load. The paper provides reference for the field bus system engineering design. The research of FF control system engineering application can reduce the cost of control. At the same time, FCS can improve the level of automatic monitoring system and scatter control functions to the scene. This can provide a more effective monitoring and management capabilities.

This paper describes a new type downhole pressure gauge, the pressure gauge from the downhole tool and surface processing software is composed of two parts; a downhole instrument using PIC18F2480 MCU and AD7794 A/D sampler that can realize the system operation with very low power consumption, can be very good to prolong the service life of the battery; read the stored data through the instrument ground processing software, to achieve playback, display, analysis and other functions. Flow Coefficient is an important factor for measuring control valve capacity. It is also a principle basis for selecting nominal diameter of control valve. In order to meet the design requirement of control valve selection, a design method of control valve selection is proposed with the latest standard ISA algorithm in this paper. It utilizes visual C# to develop a computer-aided calculation software for control valve calculation. The relevant process parameters can be automatically imported and calculated. It has been proved that the method is accurate, simple and feasible, which could be helpful for the improvement of design quality and work efficiency.
