    The Status and Improvement of Lightning Fire Prevention Technology for Large Floating Roof Storage Tanks

    With the development trend of large-scale tank design and construction, it is of great practical significance to ensure the safe operation of tanks and prevent lightning fire accidents. For large floating roof storage tank, special attention shall be paid to prevent lightning fire of sealing device. Combined with several typical tank fire accidents, the reasons of seal device failure in tank design, construction and operation and maintenance are analyzed. The present situation and existing problems of domestic storage tank lightning protection technology are expounded from the aspects of second sealing device, electrical connection of facilities, lightning protection and grounding detection. The design concept and application of new oil&gas free sealing device, active nitrogen protection system and lightning warning system for storage tanks are introduced. From the aspects of design, construction, sealing device form, tank lightning fire fighting and tank safety management mode, the measures and suggestions to enhance the ability of tank to prevent lightning fire risk are put forward.

    Research on defect identification method of pipeline weld based on fusion machine learning

    Abstract: In order to improve the automatic identification of different defect types in pipeline welds, based on the excavated X-ray welds images, the pooled layer operation of the traditional convolutional neural network was modified by using the square difference pooling method by comparing the variance information of the pooled domain and the feature map, and then the CNN model hyperparameters were selected by using the whale algorithm. Finally, a fusion machine learning model is formed for the classification of weld defects, and compared with other models. The results show that the whale algorithm can optimize parameters such as the number and size of convolutional nuclei, the number and size of pooled nuclei, the type of convolutional kernel activation function, and the learning rate in a short time. In the classification results of fusion machine learning model, the classification accuracy of unfused and unwelded defects is the highest, reaching 93%~100% under different training rounds, and the average classification accuracy of 5 defect types is between 90.6%~95.8%. The proposed model is superior to other CNN models and SVM models in classification accuracy, training time and stability. The research results can provide practical reference for the identification of weld defects in other pressure vessels or pressure pipelines, and have strong universality and expansibility.

    The operation of compressor units generates a substantial amount of monitoring data, with the monitoring values of key parameters being the primary factors for determining the normal operation of the units. However, at various compressor stations, these data are only stored as backup files for post-incident investigation purposes and are not effectively utilized. In this paper, we propose a compressor unit performance prediction model based on recurrent neural networks. We first discretize the monitoring data values using data nodes to reduce data redundancy. Then, we calculate the correlation coefficients to measure the correlation between different parameters at different time points. By mining neighboring nodes, we obtain a set of temporal neighboring nodes for the key parameters and use it as the training set for the recurrent neural network to predict the values of the key parameters, thus determining the operating status of the units. Experimental validation on the SCADA dataset demonstrates that the proposed model performs well in predicting the values of the outlet temperature. The evaluation metrics, MAE and RMSE, for a typical abnormal event in the outlet temperature are 0.88 and 0.92, respectively. These results further indicate that the proposed model exhibits strong generalization ability and predictive accuracy.

The results show that the correlation between fuel gas consumption and atmospheric pressure on compressor flow is small, and its variables should be reduced. When the number of decision tree n is 300 and the number of split features m is 5, the prediction effect is the best. The RMSE and MAPE of the model in this paper are both the smallest, which indicates that the model in this paper has a good regression effect for complex nonlinear data sets such as compressor flow, and has certain advanced and scientific nature.

    PetroChina Jinzhou Petrochemical Company has carried out the work of interconnecting data between various upstream and downstream devices. It requires different brands and models of DCS control systems to communicate with Hollysys MACS 6 control system through Modbus RTU protocol. As the actual work progresses, it is found that only the Honeywell PKS control system could not write data to the Hollysys system. In response to this phenomenon, a deep analysis of the basic principles of Modbus RTU communication protocol was conducted, and a method of studying Modbus RTU communication messages was adopted to analyze the differences between the two systems' messages. By adjusting the configuration of the Honeywell and Hollysys systems, the structure of the messages was made consistent. After connecting the Honeywell and Hollysys systems, it was found that the data from the Honeywell system can be successfully written out, thus solving the last problem in the interconnection project.

    Research on the Relationship between the Transient Control Performance of Natural Gas Automatic Distribution System with the Parameters of Connecting Pipeline

    With the development of automation and intelligent technology, natural gas distributing stations are gradually popularized for automatic control systems. In this article, the types of gas users in a certain natural gas pipeline company are first studied. Three types of classic users are selected, and their data such as gas components, distribution pressure, and flow rate of each type user are collected as the basis of modeling. Furthermore, the mathematical models of the main devices in the automatic control system are analyzed, thus establishing the relationship between the structural parameters of the connection pipeline and the transient control performance indicators of the automatic control system. By comparison, it is found that the diameter and length of the connection pipeline have a significant impact on the transient control performance of the automatic system. There are critical pipe diameter and critical length, before and after which the transient performance indicators of the automatic control system have different trends.

    The control technology level of the fracturing unit directly determines the quality and efficiency of the fracturing operation. For this purpose, the author conducted research on the technological progress and application status of fracturing unit control systems from mainstream domestic and foreign manufacturers. They compared the level of single machine equipment control and centralized intelligent control of units from various manufacturers, and analyzed the main problems that currently hinder the intelligent development of fracturing unit control systems. The conclusion indicates that there is no significant difference in the control technology of domestic fracturing units compared to similar foreign manufacturers; The overall field is developing towards electrification, hybridization, wireless, visualization, and intelligence. We can start from the aspects of technology, management, and personnel to jointly promote the improvement of China's fracturing unit control technology and meet the needs of unconventional oil and gas high-efficiency and high-quality development.
