Most of the raw materials, fuels, process products and products used in ammonia plant are Class A and Class B fire hazards, among which there are toxic substances, and the operation conditions are generally carried out at high temperature and high pressure. In chemical and petroleum automation systems, once a fire occurs, if some equipment in the design can cut off the spread of the fire source immediately, then the heavy loss of the plant area can be avoided. As an important part of automation system, valve is not only used to open and close the pipeline, control the flow direction, adjust and control the parameters(temperature, pressure and flow rate) of conveying medium, but also can cut off the flow path in time and avoid the flow of combustible fluid to the main equipment when it occurs fire. Therefore, the fire resistance of the valve should be considered as an important performance, which can attract the attention of the relevant personnel.
